The annual Remembrance Day service will be held at the cenotaph in downtown Ayr, at Stanley Street and Northumberland Street. Participants in the service will meet at the Ayr Community Centre and march down to the cenotaph at 1:50 p.m. The service at the cenotaph will begin at 2:00 p.m.
Temporary road closures will be in effect on Sunday, November 2 commencing at approximately 1:30 p.m. and extending until 3:00 p.m.
Northumberland Street at Gibson Street
Stanley Street at Swan Street
Piper Street at Church Street
There will be no on-street parking throughout this area (Stanley, Piper and Northumberland Streets) during the road closure. Residents are requested to move any parked cars off these streets (within the closure area) before 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 2. The road closures and on-street parking restrictions are in place to accommodate the annual Remembrance Day Service. Thank you for your patience and assistance.
