The Township is hosting a Community Information Forum in the Dumfries Room at the North Dumfries Community Complex with the target audience being the Business Owners/Operators located along Guthrie/Melair Avenues, Northumberland Street north of Greenfield Road, and, the larger 97/401 Business Park area.   These districts have been the subject of thefts and break & enter crimes.   A common element across these areas is the high valued products either sold or stored on-site, including in outside yards.

Senior Command Officials from WRPS will be in attendance to discuss opportunities to elevate awareness on the risks associated with commercial/industrial properties, and, how together the community and WRPS can reduce risks against thefts and break & enters. 

This session is the starting point to promote dialogue between the business community, WRPS and the Township in terms of this growing issue around theft and break & enter threats in our community.   The overall objective is to design and frame a proactive response to this matter.
